I think you should try and make something sword of truthish.
Not a very "current", but I read you to wanted to be a writer initially, maybe you can make something with that nostalgic feel. don't know if that really makes any sense, probably not.
It seems you're mostly about the Sci-fi stuff now anyways.

I think you should change your avatar. I change my avatar pretty frequently. But what I've been doing recently is taking a simple symbol and incororating it with something else. I've grown atatched to this swirl symbol, I've been using it since halo 2. I made a copy of the default DA avatar using my symbol a couple of times. And recently I've been watching too much lost, so I made a new avatar with my swirl in the DHARMA logo.
The point is, that so long as I keep using that swirl symbol I can have the freedom to change my avatar and keep regignition. Not that any one would recognize me anyway. But yeah. You should do something like that.
I said "nah, it's how I recognize you" but what I really mean is more: Keep the same design style and/or same colour sheme, the "rahll" text, same glow effects, contrastes, moving light. Enough so that it looks the same and I will still recognize you. I am watching a lot of artist and I am sure it wouldn't take many images before I link the new avatar to you, but that will still be a couple of images I will "miss" as yours.
But no dude, really feel free to change it. I just changed mine the other day and I love the change. Sometimes an overhaul is fun. Even changing your whole page, like your ID, Journal CSS, Webcam pic, etc.
