Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Busy busy busy!

Hey guys! Just wanted to say hey, been super busy lately, but hopefully I'll have some awesome work to show for it soon.

Just got a quick job doing some promo/testing art for a big game franchise. The new game will be announced at E3, but I can't say much more than that right now. Also got my Mass Effect painting to finish, an epic space battle commission for an arcade machine, and potential work on an upcoming movie that some of you would know of, in addition to all the personal work I have planned.

Also, I only mentioned it on FB, but I lost out on a job working for 343 Industries on a new Halo game. I got head hunted, but it all fell through. It was a disappointment, but hey, makes room for other great things.

What have you all be up to, any good news to share?

If I was you I wouldn't fret too much over the 343 position. The way things are headed game studios are going to have to step it up to keep pace with the slick new games and their equally slick engines (namely Frostbite 2.0) and while that means more competition it will also mean said studios are probably going to be broadening their scope in looking for good artists. And, of course, you needn't worry about that either.

I practice longsword of 14th 15th and 16th centuries. I look at old ass manuals written by people hundreds of years ago and try and understand/interpret them. Really fun stuff.

It isn't done by Bungie, but it is done by ex Bungie employees. You remember Halo 2, the best Halo game ever (imo), a lot of the people from the Halo 2 team went to 343 (which is why the latest Reach maps feel so good, cause they were made by 343, and there for, feel smooth like Halo 2 maps).
