Welcome to Mordorby `Rahll

Traditional Art / Paintings / Portraits

Self-portrait out of a mirror. Yes, I have a massive map of Mordor. This is in acrylics, with a little bit of gouache. In a lot of ways I don't consider it done, but I've gotta call it quits at some point, especially because I have to turn it in.

It's 16"x22", and hell if I know how many hours at this point. Probably 30+, not including the preliminary work which includes a full size charcoal drawing, multiple fine tuned line drawings, and painted value and color studies.

It's my second large acrylic painting ever. Most of you know I'm not huge on traditional, but I very much enjoyed this.

I used to have a map like that, although it was all of Middle Earth and not just Mordor.

i believe i have that same map, though it's all of middle earth, not just mordor (i think it's 5 foot x 4 foot or something ridiculous lol). Very nice painting, awesome for it's size!
