This is an album cover for a band called The Chase, based out of LA. I was contacted by them through `adonihs whose cousin happens to be a part of the band. I was given the honor of conceptualizing and executing a unique and atmospheric cover for them based on the sound of their music and the emotion it conveys.

Check them out here, and once their album comes out, I'll be sure to post a journal for those of you who are interested in them. They've got a cool sound that almost reminds me of Breaking Benjamin, and they're aiming for the end of October for release.

As for the technical aspects of this piece, it's a combination of painting and matte work. This means that I worked to combine my own painted elements with photographic elements to try and convey a seamless, but stylized image.

I really hope you guys like it, I put an absolute ton of work into it.

futuristic, cold breeze smokey ness, i now think i want my band to have that feeling, cuz pop punk hradcore is good, but look at that picture!! :O ahhh

yeah it definitly sounds like how it looks, even weirder is that the first song, the guys singing about a girl- that girl shares the name of a girl i had a 5 year heartbreak over xD thats probably why i like the cover, tis all connected xD... my journey went to brutality, then spiritual, love, god, happiness and anarchy! ;P ultimate
